- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce

Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Next, take a moment to prepare your baking dish by greasing it with a suitable amount of oil or cooking spray, ensuring it's the right size for your needs - in this case, a 2-quart dish.

While you're waiting for the oven to heat up, combine water, rice, and salt in a saucepan and bring the mixture to a rolling boil.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to a lower setting and cover your saucepan, allowing the rice to cook slowly until it's tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed - this process should take around 20 to 25 minutes.

Simultaneously, cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches an evenly browned state - this should take about 10 minutes. Set aside some of the bacon drippings in the pan, then reduce the heat to a lower setting.

Drain the cooked bacon on a plate lined with paper towels and crumble it once it's cooled enough to handle.

In the same pan you used for the bacon, cook and stir the onions until they become translucent - this should take around 5 to 8 minutes.
