- 6 cups spaghetti sauce, divided
- 1 (16 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius. Prepare two baking trays by covering them with parchment paper for an easy cleanup.

Take a small container and gently mix the eggs until they become smooth and creamy. Place the bread crumbs in another shallow dish.

Next, dip each tomato slice into the egg mixture and then coat it evenly with the bread crumbs. Arrange these coated tomatoes in a single layer on your prepared baking trays.

Place the trays in the preheated oven and bake until the tomatoes turn golden brown, approximately 5 minutes per side.

In a large serving dish measuring 9x13 inches, pour in three cups of your favorite spaghetti sauce. Create a layer by adding tomato slices on top.

Then, add half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese to create a new layer. Repeat this process by adding another layer of spaghetti sauce, followed by tomato slices, mozzarella cheese, and finally Parmesan cheese.
