- 3 dashes hot sauce (such as Tabasco®)

Place eggs in a saucepan, submerge them under water, and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Allow it to cook slowly for 5 minutes, maintaining a low temperature throughout the process.

Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit undisturbed, covered with a lid, for 5 minutes to allow the eggs to cool down slightly.

Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice-cold water and let them chill in the refrigerator for 5 minutes, which will help to stop the cooking process.

Once chilled, crack the eggs open and peel them off their shells.
