Ingredients
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon honey, or more to taste
- 1 teaspoon ghee (clarified butter)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Combine milk, water, a slice of fresh ginger, honey, ghee, turmeric, cinnamon sticks, and black pepper in a small saucepan. Whisk over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil, stirring occasionally for 5 to 10 minutes.

Remove the pot from heat and carefully strain out the fresh ginger pieces. Serve the warm, spiced milk mixture immediately.
