Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup dried minced onion
- 2 tablespoons dried cilantro
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 11 ounces chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- 1 egg
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius.
2
Mix together ground beef, crushed bread crumbs, dried onion flakes, chopped cilantro, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl until well combined.
3
Take the meat mixture and finely chop chipotle peppers before adding them, along with adobo sauce and a beaten egg, to the mixture. Mix everything together until it's smooth.
4
Use your hands to shape the meat mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls, creating uniform-sized meatballs.
5
Heat a large skillet over extremely high heat. Brown the meatballs in the hot skillet, turning them frequently as needed, for 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer the cooked meatballs to a rimmed baking sheet.
6
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven until they are no longer pink in the center, taking around 8 to 10 minutes.
