Smoky Campfire Pepperoni Pizza
Ingredients
  • 1 pound refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
Instructions
1
Position the pizza stone on the grill, situated directly above the wood fire. If necessary, flatten the surrounding wood to achieve a more manageable flame level.
2
Unfold and shape the pizza dough on a stable, flat surface to your preferred thickness. Place it onto the preheated stone; cook until one side is golden brown, approximately 10 minutes.
3
Carefully lift the cooked dough off the stone. Apply an even layer of pizza sauce to the warm side of the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges without sauce. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce; add sliced pepperoni on top.
4
Return the pizza to the stone and cover it with aluminum foil to prevent overcooking; cook until the cheese is melted, around 10 minutes. Transfer the pizza to a cutting board and allow it to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
