Ingredients
- 1 (9 inch) pie crust pastry
- 8 ounces smoked salmon, or more to taste, broken into small pieces
- 5 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon dill
- 8 eggs, or more to taste
- 3/4 cup milk
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius, if you prefer metric).
2
Next, take the pie crust pastry and gently press it into a circular baking dish.
3
Then, place the pie crust in the oven and bake until it's lightly golden brown, taking around 10 to 12 minutes.
4
After that, carefully place the salmon fillets inside the pie crust, making sure to cover it evenly.
5
Using your hands, spread a layer of cream cheese over the salmon, making sure to cover it completely.
6
Then, sprinkle a generous amount of fresh dill over the cream cheese layer.
7
In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
8
Pour the egg mixture over the cream cheese layer, making sure to leave a small border around the crust edge.
9
Finally, sprinkle a layer of mozzarella cheese over the egg mixture.
10
Then, place the pie crust in the oven again and bake until the quiche is set and the middle has risen, taking around 40 to 50 minutes.
11
Once it's done, remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
