Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soy-based liquid seasoning (such as Maggi®)
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced, or more to taste
- 9 pounds bone-in prime rib, cut and retied to the bone
Instructions
1
Combine the liquid seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic in a bowl.
2
Pour this marinade over the prime rib in a container. Allow it to sit for 1 to 2 hours, turning every 30 minutes.
3
Next, preheat the oven to a high temperature of 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
4
Position the prime rib on a baking rack that fits inside a large, deep baking dish.
5
Place the prime rib in the oven and roast until all juices are sealed in, taking about 45 minutes.
6
After that, lower the oven temperature to a moderate level of 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
7
Continue roasting the prime rib until it reaches a safe internal temperature of 130 to 140 degrees F (54 to 60 degrees C), which should take around 2 hours more.
8
Finally, let the prime rib rest for 30 minutes to 1 hour before slicing.
