Slow Cooker Turkey Ham and Veggie Stew
Ingredients
  • 1 pound whole turkey ham
  • 1 cup baby carrots
  • 4 large red potatoes, cubed
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 head cabbage, cut into 6 wedges
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth, as needed
  • 12 pearl onions
Instructions
1
Prepare a slow cooker by filling it with a layer of baby carrots and red potatoes. Next, position the turkey ham flat-side down on top of the vegetables. Add a few cloves of garlic to complement the dish, followed by cabbage wedges placed delicately on top of the ham. Fill the slow cooker with an adequate amount of chicken broth to cover all the ingredients.
2
Place the slow cooker on Low for 8 hours, allowing the flavors to meld together. After this period, stir in some pearl onions and continue cooking until they become tender, taking approximately 30 minutes longer.
