Slow Cooker Sweet Glazed Ham

  • 1 (16 ounce) package light brown sugar, divided
  • 1 (6 to 7 pound) bone-in picnic ham, rinsed
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple
  • 3/4 cup chai tea latte concentrate (such as Tazo®)

Cover the base of your slow cooker with approximately two-thirds of the brown sugar, ensuring it is evenly spread across the entire surface. Position the ham on top of the brown sugar layer, with its flat side facing downwards. Pour a generous amount of pineapple over the ham, followed by a gentle sprinkling of brown sugar to coat the surface. Next, pour the chai tea latte concentrate over the ham, taking care not to overflow the slow cooker. Finally, place the lid on top of the slow cooker and cook on the Low setting until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the ham reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees F (70 degrees C), approximately 5 and a half hours. Periodically baste the ham with its accumulated juices throughout the cooking process.
