Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 (24 ounce) jars prepared pasta sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 (25 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat, allowing it to reach the optimal temperature for searing ingredients. Sear and stir ground beef, minced garlic, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the hot skillet until the meat is nicely browned and has a crumbly texture, taking approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Remove excess grease from the skillet using a paper towel or by pouring it down the drain. Combine pasta sauce, dried Italian seasoning, fresh basil leaves, and oregano into the ground beef mixture.
2
Pour a substantial amount of meat sauce into the bottom of a slow cooker, followed by a layer of ravioli. Add another generous helping of meat sauce over the ravioli layer, alternating with the remaining ravioli and meat sauce until all ingredients have been utilized.
3
Place the slow cooker in a low-temperature setting for 3 to 5 hours, allowing the flavors to meld together. Top the ravioli mixture with a generous sprinkling of mozzarella cheese and continue cooking until the cheese is fully melted, taking an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour.
