Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
Ingredients
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 1/2 pounds bone-in pork loin end roast
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 (18 ounce) bottle hickory brown sugar barbeque sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar, or to taste
Instructions
1
Place a layer of thinly sliced onions at the bottom of a slow cooker, creating a base for the dish. Next, sprinkle pork with salt and pepper to enhance its flavor, then position it on top of the onions. Add a splash of vinegar and water to the slow cooker, taking care not to overpower the other ingredients.
2
Cook the pork in a low-temperature setting for an extended period of 8 hours, allowing it to become tender and fall-apart. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and use two forks to shred it into bite-sized pieces.
3
Transfer the shredded pork back into the slow cooker and discard approximately half of the juices that have accumulated at the bottom. Then, stir in the shredded pork, barbeque sauce, and brown sugar to create a rich and savory mixture.
