- 1 (4 pound) boneless pork shoulder roast
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cups chicken broth

Combine salt, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, coriander, and cinnamon in a bowl; evenly distribute the spice blend onto the pork.

Position bay leaves at the bottom of a slow cooker and position the pork on top. Pour chicken broth around the edges of the pork, taking care not to wash away the spice mixture.

Seal and cook on Low for an extended period, flipping the pork every 5 hours, until it becomes tender and easily shreds with a fork, approximately 10 hours in total.
