Ingredients
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
Instructions
1
Combine freshly squeezed orange juice with water in a slow cooker, adding brown sugar and white sugar to sweeten the mixture. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon into the pot for added flavor. Next, stir in a handful of fresh or frozen cranberries to add natural sweetness and tartness.
2
Cook the mixture on high heat for a prolonged period of 3 hours, stirring every hour to prevent scorching and promote even cooking.
3
After 3 hours of slow cooking, remove the lid to inspect the mixture's consistency and flavor. Stir everything together thoroughly to distribute the ingredients evenly.
4
Continue cooking on high heat for an additional 45 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and most of the cranberries to burst open and release their juices.
