Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup
Ingredients
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 3 1/2 cups egg noodles

Combine water, carrots, onion, celery, parsley, salt, garlic salt, pepper, and thyme in a slow cooker; thoroughly blend the ingredients. Position chicken on top of the mixture, gently pressing it down into the liquid to ensure even distribution. Cover and cook using the slow cooker's Low setting for 8 hours or its High setting for 4 hours.

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and separate the meat into shreds or cut it into small, manageable pieces. Return these chicken fragments to the slow cooker.

Add noodles to the slow cooker and continue cooking using the High setting until the noodles are tender, taking anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes.
