Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 16 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
- 12 ounces cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 (12 ounce) package lasagna noodles
Instructions
1
Gather all the necessary ingredients and materials beforehand.
2
In a large skillet, cook ground beef, sautéed onion, and minced garlic over medium heat until the meat is nicely browned.
3
Next, add a can of tomato sauce, a spoonful of tomato paste, some salt, and dried oregano to the skillet. Stir everything together until it's well combined and heated through.
4
In a separate large bowl, mix together shredded mozzarella cheese, cottage cheese, and grated Parmesan.
5
Then, start building your lasagna by spooning a layer of the meat mixture onto the bottom of a slow cooker.
6
Add a double layer of uncooked lasagna noodles, breaking them to fit into the slow cooker as needed. You may need to get a bit creative with this step.
7
Top the noodles with a portion of the cheese mixture. This will be a crucial layer in your lasagna.
8
Repeat this process, alternating between the meat mixture and noodles until all the ingredients have been used up.
9
Finally, cover your slow cooker with a lid and cook on Low for 4 to 6 hours, or until the lasagna noodles are tender.
10
At this point, your slow cooker lasagna is ready to be served and enjoyed!
