Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 (19 ounce) cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 medium green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon dehydrated onion flakes
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
Instructions
1
Preheat a substantial cooking vessel over an elevated heat setting, such as medium-high. Sear and blend ground beef in the scorching cooking vessel until it reaches a dark, crumbly state, approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Discard the excess fat that accumulates.
2
Move the beef to the base of a thermal container designed for slow cooking. Combine kidney beans, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, diced bell pepper, dehydrated onion powder, chili powder, and ground cumin. Mix the ingredients thoroughly.
3
Seal the container and cook on a low setting until the flavors have harmonized, for at least 4 hours or up to 8 hours.
