Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 pound boneless venison roast
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup chile-garlic sauce
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke
Instructions
1
Preheat a skillet over medium heat and pour in olive oil. Introduce the onion into the skillet and cook until it becomes translucent, approximately 3 minutes. Add garlic to the mixture and continue cooking until softened further, roughly 2 more minutes.
2
Take the skillet off the heat source.
3
Transfer the venison roast to a slow cooker and sprinkle with the prepared onion mixture. Combine ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, chile-garlic sauce, pepper, salt, and liquid smoke in a small bowl until the ingredients are fully incorporated; pour this mixture over the venison.
4
Cover and cook on Low for 4 to 5 hours, or until the venison is tender and no longer pink.
