Slow-Cooked Pulled Pork
Ingredients
  • 1 (3 pound) boneless pork loin roast, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon barbeque spice rub, or to taste
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce, or to taste
Instructions
1
Heat your oven to a moderate temperature of 225 degrees Fahrenheit (104 degrees Celsius).
2
Insert a small metal grid into the bottom of a heavy pot with a tight-fitting lid, known as a Dutch oven.
3
Apply a mixture of spices and herbs to the surface of a pork roast, then position it on the metal grid inside the pot.
4
Seal the pot with its lid and cook in the preheated oven for a considerable amount of time, until the meat is easily pierced with a fork, approximately 8 hours.
5
Shred the tender pork roast using two forks and reintroduce it to the pot along with some of the juices that have accumulated during cooking, as well as a substantial amount of barbecue sauce.
6
Transfer the pot to a stovetop and allow it to simmer gently over medium heat for at least 30 minutes.
