Preheat your skillet by placing it on the stovetop over a medium-high flame. Once hot, spread a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese across the skillet's surface in an even manner; allow it to melt and become smooth, approximately 2-3 minutes.

Next, arrange a pattern of sliced tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, and additional mozzarella slices on top of the melted cheese, leaving a small border around the edges to allow for a crispy crust formation; cook until the top is bubbling and the edges have turned golden brown, also around 2-3 minutes.
