- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 (15.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup dark rum
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/8 cup water
- 1/4 cup rum

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius).

Next, take a 10-inch Bundt or tube pan and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray. Then, dust the inside of the pan with flour to prevent the cake from sticking.

In order to create the cake, take a handful of walnuts and sprinkle them over the bottom of the prepared pan. Set this aside for now.

Mix together cake mix, eggs, dark rum, water, oil, and vanilla pudding mix in a large mixing bowl until everything is fully incorporated. Pour the batter over the walnuts in the pan.

Bake the cake in your preheated oven for approximately 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove it from the oven and let it cool.

Once cooled, carefully flip the cake onto a serving plate. Use a toothpick or skewer to gently poke holes into the top and sides of the cake.

To make the glaze, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Combine sugar and water into the melted butter, stirring constantly until it forms a syrupy mixture. Bring this mixture to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

Remove the glaze from heat and stir in some dark rum.

Drizzle this warm, sticky glaze over the top and sides of your cake, creating a beautiful and delicious finish.
