Gather all the necessary ingredients before commencing with the recipe.

Preheat your oven to a very high temperature of 500 degrees F (260 degrees C)

Cut the peppers into four equal parts. Next, carefully remove and discard their stems, seeds, and membranes. Place the skin-side up in a large rimmed baking pan.

Place the peppers with their skins facing upwards in a large, deep baking dish.

Roast these peppers in the preheated oven until their skin blisters and turns a dark, charred color, taking anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes.

Once the peppers are done roasting, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a tea towel, then let it sit until the peppers have cooled down sufficiently to handle them comfortably and their skins come off easily, taking around 20 to 30 minutes.

Carefully peel away the skin from each pepper and discard it.
