Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the optimal temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit or 190 degrees Celsius.
2
Next, take a 1-quart baking vessel and give it a light coating of non-stick spray to prevent food from sticking.
3
Melt butter in a large, deep skillet over high heat. Add an onion and cook until it becomes soft and clear, taking about 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in rice and cook until it starts to turn a light golden color, which should take around 2 to 3 minutes. Pour in chicken broth, add a pinch of salt, and let the mixture simmer gently for 5 minutes.
4
Transfer the cooked rice mixture to a prepared baking dish.
5
Bake the mixture in your preheated oven until all the liquid has been absorbed, which should take around 35 to 40 minutes. Once done, use a fork to gently fluff the rice mixture before serving.
