Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit, or 190 degrees Celsius for those using metric measurements.
2
Mix together eggs, Italian seasoning, basil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a large mixing container. Add ground beef and panko bread crumbs; blend everything together until it's well combined.
3
Use your hands or a spoon to shape the beef mixture into small, rounded balls of about 40 in total. Each ball should be roughly 1 and a half inches in diameter, slightly smaller than those used for golf.
4
Place the meatballs on ungreased, flat baking trays to prevent them from sticking and make cleanup easier.
5
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for a period of 10 to 15 minutes, or until they are no longer pink in the center. Halfway through the cooking time, turn the meatballs over to ensure even cooking.
6
Check the internal temperature of the meatballs using an instant-read thermometer. The reading should be at least 160 degrees Fahrenheit, or 70 degrees Celsius.
