- 4 shiitake mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup miso paste
- 4 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1/3 cup diced firm tofu
- 2 green onions, trimmed and thinly sliced

Bring vegetable broth to a rolling boil in a saucepan, then introduce sliced mushrooms into the mixture. After that, lower the heat to a minimal simmer and let it cook for 4 minutes.

Combine the miso paste and soy sauce in a small, shallow container; blend them smoothly together. Next, add this mixture to the broth along with diced tofu and continue cooking for an additional minute. Finally, portion out the soup into individual serving bowls; garnish with thinly sliced green onions before presenting.
