  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Clean the chicken thoroughly with cold water and gently remove excess moisture using paper towels. Cut it into uniform 1x1x1/2 inch cubes.

Prepare a deep fryer by filling it with corn oil, leaving about one-third of the container empty. Heat the oil to a medium temperature.

In a small bowl, whisk together egg and water until well combined. Add flour, sesame seeds, and salt to the mixture, stirring continuously until a smooth batter forms.

Dip each chicken piece into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off. Gradually add the battered chicken pieces to the hot oil in batches, frying for approximately 4 minutes or until they turn golden brown and are cooked through (remove a piece to check). Remove the chicken from the oil, allowing any excess to drip off, and place it on paper towels to drain.
