Next, add lemon juice and cook until it has fully evaporated, utilizing a wooden spoon to scrape the bottom of the skillet and bring out any browned residue, lasting around 3 minutes.

Following this, position scallops 1/2 inch apart in the skillet. Allow them to cook until they develop a browned bottom, roughly 1 minute. Flip the scallops and continue cooking until their second side is deeply browned, taking about 1 minute more.
