- 4 salmon fillets

Heat a substantial, thick-bottomed pan over medium warmth; introduce lemon juice and mix the contents by rotating the pan gently.

Position salmon fillets, skin-side down, in the pan; cook until a golden brown color develops, approximately 3 minutes. Brush the tops of the fillets with lemon butter using a spoon as they cook, ensuring an even coating. Flip the fillets over using a flat utensil; continue cooking for 1 or 2 minutes more, depending on the thickness of the fillets. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.
