Ingredients
- 4 large baking potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 (16 ounce) can baked beans
- 1 (12 ounce) can corned beef, broken into pieces
- 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Instructions
1
Firstly, preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
2
Then, place the potatoes in a large container with just enough water to cover them. Bring the mixture to a boil and continue cooking until they become tender, approximately 10 minutes later.
3
To prepare the potatoes for mashing, drain them and combine with milk, butter, salt, or any other desired flavorings.
4
Next, place the baked beans at the bottom of a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Slice the corned beef into thin layers and arrange them evenly on top of the beans.
5
Add a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce to season the corned beef, giving it extra flavor.
6
Finally, place a layer of mashed potatoes on top of the corned beef and casserole dish. Then, bake it uncovered in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
7
The mashed potatoes should start to brown and crisp up, but not yet fully cooked. Remove it from the oven.
8
To complete the dish, place a layer of cheese on top and return it to the oven for an additional 20 minutes.
9
At this point, the cheese should be browned and the dish is ready to serve.
