Ingredients
- cooking spray
- 1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 (16 ounce) container fat-free sour cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- salt and black pepper to taste
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 (26.5 ounce) cans meatless spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1
Gather all necessary ingredients for the dish. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set it aside for later use.
2
Boil spaghetti in a large amount of salted water until it reaches the desired level of doneness, still retaining some firmness to the bite. This should take around 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and set it aside for now.
3
While your pasta is cooking, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese in a bowl. Mix these ingredients together until they are well combined and set aside for later use.
4
Heat some olive oil in a large, high-sided skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef in large chunks and cook without stirring until it is lightly browned, approximately 2 minutes.
5
Add an onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Continue cooking, breaking up the meat into smaller pieces with a wooden spoon and stirring occasionally, until it is almost cooked through. Remove the skillet from heat and tilt it to pool the grease onto one side, trying to keep the beef mixture on the other. Use a large spoon to remove excess grease; discard it once cooled.
6
Add marinara sauce to the beef mixture in the skillet. Stir until these ingredients are well combined. Add the reserved spaghetti to the skillet and fold it in until the pasta is well coated with sauce.
7
Transfer half of the pasta mixture to your prepared baking dish. Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over the pasta mixture in the baking dish, then top with the remaining pasta mixture.
8
Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese evenly over the spaghetti mixture. Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
9
Bake in your preheated oven until the cheese has melted, approximately 30 minutes. Remove the aluminum foil and sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on top. Increase your oven temperature to broil.
10
Broil until the cheese has started to turn golden brown, approximately 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle with some parsley and serve the dish hot.

Enjoy your delicious meal!
