Ingredients
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 carrot, minced
  • 1/2 onion, minced
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 green chile peppers, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 1 pinch seasoning salt
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 (16 ounce) package egg roll wrappers, cut in half into rectangles
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
Instructions
1
Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat, allowing it to reach the optimal temperature. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, achieving a satisfying texture. Remove the cooked beef from the skillet.
2
In the same skillet, sauté carrot, onion, green onion, chile pepper, and garlic over medium heat until they are tender and have reached the desired level of softness. Introduce tomato paste into the skillet, followed by seasoning salt to enhance flavor. Combine the cooked beef with the mixture, stirring until well incorporated.
3
In a small bowl, combine flour and water to form a smooth paste. Place an egg roll strip on a clean work surface, ensuring it is flat and even. Add a teaspoonful of the meat mixture to one end of the strip, positioning it in the front part. Begin folding the wrapper over towards the left, creating a triangular shape that starts at the right front corner. Continue this process in an alternating pattern until the entire wrapper has been used, forming a complete triangle shape. Seal the wrapper shut with the paste, repeating this process until all strips and meat mixture have been utilized.
4
Heat oil in a large pot over high heat, bringing it to the boiling point. Fry egg rolls in hot oil until they are crispy and golden brown, achieving a perfect texture. Remove the fried egg rolls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess moisture.
