Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced, or more to taste
- 1 (10 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 dashes hot pepper sauce, or more to taste
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 (10 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 (8 ounce) package grated mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature, equivalent to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
2
Heat a large cooking vessel over a medium-high heat setting. Introduce ground beef, onion, and garlic into the skillet; cook and stir constantly until the meat is nicely browned and has a crumbly texture, taking approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
3
Drain off any excess fat from the skillet and discard it. Then, add sliced mushrooms, dried oregano, hot sauce, salt, and pepper to the skillet; let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
4
Next, add a handful of fresh spinach leaves, canned condensed soup, and sour cream to the skillet; continue cooking until everything is heated through and well combined, taking roughly 5 minutes.
5
Transfer the mixture to a suitable casserole dish and cover it with shredded mozzarella cheese.
6
Place the casserole in your preheated oven and let it bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, taking around 15 to 20 minutes.
