Heat the oil in a well-seasoned non-stick saucepan over an elevated heat setting until it reaches almost its boiling point. Introduce the rice into the saucepan and stir rapidly to give it a light golden brown hue, approximately 2-3 minutes. Next, add the sliced onions and cook for a minute, allowing them to soften slightly.

Now, incorporate the broth and garlic seasoning into the mixture; bring it to a rolling boil. Gradually decrease the heat to a low setting, cover the saucepan with a lid, and continue cooking until all the liquid has been absorbed by the rice and it reaches a tender state, roughly 20 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat source and permit it to rest undisturbed for 5 minutes. Finally, lift the lid and gently fluff the cooked rice with a fork to separate it into individual grains.
