Ingredients
- cooking spray
- 2 (16 ounce) packages cottage cheese
- 10 eggs, beaten
- 1 pound shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cooked crumbled bacon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius.
2
Next, take a 10x13-inch baking dish and give it a generous coating of cooking spray to prevent the dish from sticking during the baking process.
3
Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl, including cottage cheese, beaten eggs, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, diced green chiles, melted butter, flour, crispy bacon bits, and baking powder. Make sure everything is well incorporated before transferring the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
4
Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.
5
Then, reduce the heat to a lower temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius and continue baking until a toothpick inserted into the center of the casserole comes out clean, which should take around 30 minutes more.
