  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped water chestnuts
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger root
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Heat the grill outside to a medium-high temperature and lightly brush the metal bars with a small amount of oil.

Combine ground turkey, finely chopped onion, water chestnuts, sliced bell pepper, minced garlic, chopped parsley, soy sauce, water, grated ginger, salt, and pepper in a large mixing container; form into 4 identical round shapes.

Place the formed patties on the preheated grill and cook until they are no longer pink in the center and the juices flow freely, taking about 4 minutes per side. Use a thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
