Ingredients
- 15 bay leaves
- 3 eggs
- 8 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius).
2
Fill a small, heat-resistant bowl with water and place it inside the oven to warm up.
3
Place a layer of bay leaves at the bottom of your springform pan, covering the entire surface.
4
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk eggs until they become smooth, then combine them with ricotta cheese, honey, orange zest, and lemon juice.
5
Sift the flour into the bowl with the egg mixture and blend until everything is well incorporated.
6
Carefully pour the batter over the layer of bay leaves, taking care not to disturb them excessively.
7
Place the springform pan in the preheated oven and bake until it's nicely browned, approximately 35 to 40 minutes.
8
Once done, run the tip of a paring knife around the edges of the pan to release it from the springform, then invert onto a serving plate.
9
Serve warm or chilled.
