Ingredients
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 2 cups frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 cups shredded pepper Jack cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit (or 190 degrees Celsius).
2
Next, heat a large frying pan over a medium-high flame. Cook and stir the sausage in the hot pan until it's nicely browned and crumbly, taking around 5 to 7 minutes. Take the sausage out of the pan and transfer it to a plate; then, drain most of the excess fat from the pan.
3
Add hash browns to the empty pan and cook until they're golden brown, taking another 5 to 7 minutes.
4
In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
5
Arrange the crescent rolls at the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Layer them with sausage and hash brown potatoes, followed by the egg mixture poured over the top. Sprinkle some pepper Jack cheese on top.
6
Bake the dish in your preheated oven until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean, approximately 30 minutes. Remove it from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
