- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 pound fully cooked kielbasa, cut into 1-inch pieces

Combine sauerkraut, water, a sliced carrot, brown sugar, diced apple, sweet onion, caraway seeds, salt, and black pepper in a slow cooker. Place the mixture in the appliance and cook on Low for approximately 7 hours. Next, add sliced kielbasa to the slow cooker and continue cooking for an additional hour.
