- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 medium very ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil for frying, or as needed

Combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl and blend them until they are perfectly incorporated.

Stir the mixture with water, bananas, and vanilla extract until everything is well combined; the resulting dough should be smooth and slightly sticky.

Preheat a deep fryer with 3 inches of oil to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Cook the dough in batches of four to five at a time, using a large spoon to scoop out 1/4 cup portions of the batter and then carefully sliding them into the hot oil with a second spoon.

Fry the dough until it rises to the surface and turns golden brown, approximately 3 minutes per side.
