- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 4 (6 ounce) salmon steaks
- 1/3 cup bourbon whiskey

Heat butter in a substantial cooking vessel over an intermediate temperature setting. Combine the butter with brown sugar to create a rich mixture. Position salmon fillets on top of this sweet concoction. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes, maintaining a medium heat level. Rotate the salmon and pour bourbon over its surface. Continue cooking for 5 minutes, or until the fish can be easily broken apart with a fork. Drizzle the resulting glaze over the salmon before presenting it.
