Ingredients
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 (4 ounce) salmon fillets, skin removed
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1 teaspoon finely minced garlic
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon capers, drained
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 slices lemon
Instructions
1
Start by placing the flour into a container for mixing ingredients. Next, sprinkle salt and pepper over salmon fillets to enhance flavor, then coat the fish evenly with flour.
2
Heat a skillet over medium heat and pour oil into it. Add salmon fillets to the pan and cook until they develop a golden brown color on both sides, approximately 3 minutes per side. Remove the cooked salmon from the skillet and set it aside to keep warm.
3
Pour wine into the same skillet, allowing it to come to a boil while scraping the browned residue from the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon. Add minced garlic and cook until the liquid has reduced by half and the aroma of garlic is noticeable, about 1 minute. Add chicken broth, lemon juice, and capers; stir until the mixture reaches a boil. Stir in melted butter.
4
Return the cooked salmon to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top of the fish. Cook for an additional 2 minutes on each side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
5
Transfer the cooked salmon to serving plates and pour the pan sauce over the top. Finish by garnishing with slices of lemon.
