  • 2 turnips, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Begin by placing the carrots, parsnips, and turnips into a large container.

Next, pour in cold, lightly salted water to cover the vegetables completely.

Once the water is at a rolling boil, proceed with cooking the mixture for approximately 25 minutes or until a fork can effortlessly pierce through the vegetables.

Subsequently, drain the water from the pot to separate the vegetables.
