- 1 whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
- 1 onion, cut into wedges
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 8 cloves garlic
- 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 450 degrees Fahrenheit, which is equivalent to 230 degrees Celsius.

Take all the ingredients - chicken, onion, lemon slices, garlic, and rosemary - and mix them together in a large bowl. Add some olive oil to the mixture, along with salt and black pepper, and make sure everything is well coated.

Place the chicken mixture in a large baking dish and spread it evenly across the bottom of the pan.

Put the chicken mixture in the preheated oven and cook it until it reaches a safe internal temperature. This should take around 45 to 50 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear. To check if it's done, insert an instant-read thermometer into the thickest part of a thigh, near the bone, and make sure it reads at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
