Ingredients
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh thyme
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
Instructions
1
Begin by preheating your oven to a high temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius. Next, prepare a baking sheet by covering it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
2
Take the Brussels sprouts and place them in a large bowl. Add some olive oil, thyme, salt, and pepper to the bowl and mix everything together until the sprouts are evenly coated.
3
Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Place it in the oven and roast for 10 minutes, or until they start to soften.
4
After 10 minutes of roasting, remove the baking sheet from the oven and stir in some dried cranberries. Return the baking sheet to the oven and continue roasting for another 10 minutes.
5
Remove the Brussels sprouts and cranberries from the oven and transfer them to a serving bowl. Drizzle some maple syrup over the top of the sprouts and cranberries, then toss everything together until the syrup is evenly distributed.
