Pour the turkey drippings into a clear 4-cup measuring cup to distinguish oil from liquid. Allow the mixture to settle and separate, resulting in a clear distinction between oil on top and juices at the bottom. Carefully extract 1/4 cup of oil using a kitchen syringe and transfer it to a saucepan.

In the saucepan, combine flour and oil; cook over medium-low heat while stirring constantly until the mixture reaches a light brown hue, approximately 5 minutes. Gradually pour 1 cup of juices from the measuring cup into the flour mixture, stirring continuously to create a smooth gravy. Continue cooking and adding more turkey drippings as needed to achieve the desired consistency, until the gravy is heated through.

Mix chicken broth into the gravy; cook over medium-low heat while stirring until the mixture is heated through. If desired, add more broth to achieve a thinner gravy, and continue cooking until the desired consistency is reached.
