Distribute 1/2 cup softened and cubed butter evenly over the top, blending it into a cohesive mixture using your hands. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Transfer 2/3 of the dough to the prepared pan, smoothing out any air pockets or imperfections. Cover with rhubarb.
