Ingredients
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped rhubarb
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup oats
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup melted butter, divided
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
2
To make the filling, combine the brown sugar, white sugar, 1/4 cup of rolled oats, 1 teaspoon of flour, and a small amount of cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Then add the rhubarb and blueberries, stirring until they are evenly coated.
3
In a separate bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of flour, 1/3 cup of rolled oats, cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg. Add enough butter to create a mixture that is crumbly in texture, roughly half of the total amount of butter.
4
Spread the crumbly mixture evenly over the rhubarb mixture, and then drizzle any remaining butter over the top of the dish.
5
Bake the entire dish in the preheated oven until it reaches a golden brown color and is bubbling with steam, taking anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes.
6
Allow the dish to cool for just a few minutes before serving.
