Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1/2 cup oat bran
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of three seventy-five degrees Fahrenheit, or one ninety zero degrees Celsius.
2
Next, take a 9x13-inch baking dish and give it a light coating of grease to prevent sticking.
3
Mix together the sweet and tangy flavors of fresh raspberries, applesauce, oat bran, and white sugar in a large bowl until well combined.
4
In another bowl, combine the crunchy texture of oats, the rich flavor of brown sugar, and the creamy taste of butter. Use a pastry blender to mix these ingredients together until they form a crumbly mixture. Add flour to the blend and continue cutting into the mixture with the pastry blender until it reaches a crumbly consistency.
5
Now, spread half of this crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of your prepared 9x13-inch baking dish.
6
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for approximately twenty minutes, or until it reaches a lightly browned color.
7
Remove the crust from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
8
Spread the sweet raspberry filling over the cooled crust, making sure to cover it evenly.
9
Finally, sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the top of the filling, creating a delicious and crunchy topping.
10
Bake the entire dish in the preheated oven for an additional twenty minutes, or until the topping is lightly browned and the filling is warm and delicious.
