Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1/3 cup cold water
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine sugar, water, egg whites, and corn syrup in the top of a double boiler where rapidly boiling water is being maintained by an electric mixer, stirring until everything is fully incorporated. Continue to mix the ingredients while they cook until the frosting forms stiff peaks when you lift the beater, approximately 7 minutes. Take the double boiler off the heat source and blend in vanilla extract.
