Quick Salisbury Steak with Onion Rings
Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 large onion, sliced into rings
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can milk
Instructions
1
First, preheat your oven to the optimal temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius.
2
Meanwhile, combine ground beef, rolled oats, egg, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, water, dried minced onion, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl until everything is well incorporated.
3
Next, shape the mixture into 6 perfectly rounded patties using your hands or a spatula.
4
In a large skillet, heat the pan over medium heat until it reaches the ideal temperature for cooking.
5
Now, cook the patties in the skillet for 2 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned.
6
Transfer the cooked patties to a baking dish and set them aside for now.
7
Add some onion rings on top of the patties to give it a nice presentation.
8
Meanwhile, in another bowl, whisk together the mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
9
Pour the soup mixture over the patties in the baking dish.
10
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to trap the heat and moisture.
11
Bake the patties in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until they are firm, hot, and cooked through to an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit or 70 degrees Celsius.
